The event will high-light area youth as they compete in our annual Costume Contest, while participating in various additional family activities. Our 2024 Salute to Veterans will be Saturday, November 9th.    We are excited to announce that the event will include a half-size replica of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier which will be on display in Ferran Park from Friday, November 8th through Sunday, November 10th.   The original memorial is neoclassical, white marble sarcophagus  which stands atop a hill overlooking Washington, D.C. Since 1921, it has provided a final resting place for one of America's unidentified World War I service members, and Unknowns from later wars were added in 1958 and 1984.
