Base Camp is located in the Beartooth Mountains and enjoys private access to the Forest Service and some of the best elk country on the eastern slopes. This is an end-of-the-road location, Nye is a small mountain town that has a Mom and Pop grocery store, ( Nye Trading Post), Carters Camp, a place to get a good burger and a beer, and Nye Volunteer Fire Department.
