Relax in the quiet setting, enjoy the stars at night, and build what you want if you wish. It is in Terlingua Ranch and has Ranch roads that POATRI maintains. A fee of $219 is due every March, which may increase as the cost of living increases. With no restrictions, you can set up camp as you see fit. There is a light restriction to prevent light pollution. We have a lot of astronomers, both professional & amature. The road goes right into the property; it is off-grid, with no water, but has electricity.  This area is known for its neat rocks and fossils. So take your "ROCK BAG," water, snacks, and a big-brimmed hat to protect your head. Hunting and rock collecting on your property and not on others is the" rule of thumb." A high-clearance auto is recommended.
