This Victorian style house is a short walk, only a block, from the Mohawk River and the Erie Canalway bicycle and recreation trail. Built in 1836, this nearly 200-year-old house features two porches at the front of the house. The first serves as the entryway into the tiled foyer with its stained-glass ceiling light fixture and ample built- in coat, hat, and boot rack. The second porch enters the house into the recently renovated large rustic style kitchen with new hardwood floor. The kitchen has a new suite of Samsung stainless steel appliances. The oven operates as a conventional oven, or as an air fryer or as a convection oven. The back of the kitchen opens onto a backyard deck. Living room, dining room and den are all half paneled in wood wainscot and have hard wood floors throughout. The den features a wall of built in oak cabinets, lovely wood paneled ceiling with stained glass ceiling fan and half bath adjacent. There are 2 staircases to the second floor. At the foyer the stairs wind up to the nice size 2nd floor landing with hard wood floor and stained-glass window and ceiling light. The back stairs go discreetly straight up to one of the three bedrooms. The large master bedroom features hard wood floor and stained-glass windows facing the front of the house. The other two bedrooms are bright and airy. Both have bamboo floors. Hunter ceiling fans are in every room of the house. The attic, typical of Victorian style homes, is enormous with lots of great ceiling angles. The space has a lot of potential. The furnace, hot water heater, and washer / dryer are all less than 3 years old.
