This charming cottage has been in the same family for nearly a hundred years. It was the summer retreat for artist Hazel Brill Jackson, rock climber, poet, defender of wild animals and internationally acclaimed sculptress. One of the many rugged and rocky Bold Coast trails, Western Head, begins a quarter mile from the doorstep. Many other trails and public beaches are minutes away by vehicle. Deer and bird habitat abounds, sweetgrass and balsam poplar leaves scent the air. The shoreline is good for digging your own clams as well as beach-coming. And for boat lovers, the far end of the shore is accessible for deep water anchorage. Little River (Cutler Harbor) is famous for its depth and length and as such provides safe shelter for fishermens boats, yachts, and recreational kayakers and paddle boarders. This property is one of the rarest places of its kind left along the Maine Coast. A perfect place to begin a family tradition.
