There are always lots of large/trophy elk and deer because they simply walked down the hill in a day to Utah's Dixie for the harshest parts of winter. The record trophy hunting unit is just across Highway 89.  World class trail systems offer hiking, horse back riding, or ATV riding throughout the area.  Kanab is South on Hwy 89 (54 miles) and is the land of Hollywood movies (known as Little Hollywood).  Even part of Mackenna's Gold-1969 movie was filmed across the stream from the property!  You will find Jackson Flat Reservoir where you can swim, boat or fish for trout, catfish and bluegill.
