AUTHENTIC MID-CENTURY MODERN HOME built in 1955 is 95% original. As one of the first mid-century modern homes built in San Marcos, a large portion of the house is post and beam construction with redwood and cypress materials. Much of the exterior and interior rock in the walls and on the floors came from excavations on the site and nearby. The entry foyer features glass walls on the front and back and beautiful natural stone flooring leading to the three steps down to the living room featuring two walls of windows looking out to the wooded yard. Original Saltillo tile flooring in the dining room, kitchen, and sitting room  along with natural redwood ceiling and beams beautifully lit by the floor to ceiling windows along one wall and a stone fireplace on another. The natural redwood ceiling and beams run throughout the house adding to the excellence of the original construction.
