The Vineyards at Betty's Creek is a 600 acre vineyard & event venue located in the Nantahala National Forest between Sylva & Franklin. The vineyard is nestled among Cabernet Sauvignon, Chambourcin, Chardonnay & Riesling vines with breath taking views of the Great Smoky Mountains. The Vineyard has been described as the “epitome of rustic elegance, bringing a beautiful balance of rugged wilderness & tastefully cultivated land to give you an authentic & sophisticated experience”. There are several venues on the property including a rustic barn lodge, honeymoon cottage, groom's barn & an open-air pavilion. The Dunkard Barn Lodge was built in the early 1900's in Pennsylvania. The owners purchased, moved, & reassembled the barn on the vineyard grounds. The barn has an updated climate-controlled wine cellar but still features its historical charm with the original wood & shelving. The lodge has a fireplace, 5 en suite bedrooms, and a kitchen with restaurant quality appliances. Each bedroom has a magnificent view of the vineyard & surrounding mountains. The honeymoon cottage has a spacious loft, a living area, kitchenette and an en suite bathroom. The beauty of the wide plank floors, ceilings, walls, & cabinetry from reclaimed wood, & the ornate tile from the Burgundy region of France, are encompassed by a beautiful outdoor stone patio large enough to host an event for 120 guests. The Groom's Barn has a loft with a seating area, full kitchen, & a half bath. For an outdoor venue overlooking the gorgeous vineyard, the open-air pavilion can accommodate up to 250 guests and features a covered ceremony area, six restrooms, & a catering kitchen. The Vineyards at Betty's Creek is surrounded by lovely gardens, ponds & hiking trails for relaxing or exploring. Some of this honored land was placed in a conservation easement but 11 more estates can be sprinkled quietly through the property. This is the perfect piece of paradise to continue as an event venue, vineyard or family estate.
