At the beach all kinds of water sport and beach activities are available,there are also very modern Beach clubs offering many facilities including evening concerts.<br /><br />The beach promenade is great for walking or running or even just sitting enjoying the ambience. Alanya indoor Olympic sized swimming hall is located here and several gyms are also located in the area.<br /><br />Are you the adventurous type?, then the paragliding trips also start from here. For the kids we recommend a trip to the outdoor tivoli Luna Park.<br /><br />Shopping<br /><br />A lot of smaller and a few bigger super markets are available for food and daily necessities.<br /><br />Yeni hal - the covered market area - is also a great place for fresh fish, meat, vegetables and other food items with Tuesday being the big day for fresh produce.<br /><br />Some other shops selling clothes and other items are found but not so many as in the city center.<br /><br />Public transportation<br /><br />The transportation in the west is the most diverse in Alanya and public transportation is available within close reach to take you to the city center or other areas of Alanya.<br /><br />This is also the place for the main long haul bus terminal, from where you can literally reach any other places in Turkey by bus. Finally taxis are available from almost every street corner.<br /><br />Food & dining<br /><br />There are plenty of restaurants and cafes in this area.
