Here you'll find a water park that delights the little ones and two surf schools that teach the more adventurous to take to the sea on a board. At the end of the day, take the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the horizon and the sandy beach.
Vagos has excellent access to the best products for preparing its gastronomic specialties of choice. The most famous dish is undoubtedly the magnificent eel stew, prepared differently from the surrounding regions. With its unique color and flavor, it's a dish you have to try. But there is much more to taste in Vagos. The seafood from the estuary, the pumpkin porridge, the suckling pig - a delicacy so beloved that it is part of the tradition to serve it on wedding days - the chanfana, the sainhas and the favadas, are all typical and robust dishes, prepared with the same art for decades, which preserve the most traditional flavors of the region. And, of course, there's the fresh fish, caught every day when the sea allows it, very close to the coast, thanks to the Xávega art. Here, you can even help pull in the nets full of sea bass, sea bream, mackerel and others, before seeing them grilled and fresh on your plate.
