In this locality you will find the palace and the manor house of Tavarede, an old manor house founded in the sixteenth century that has undergone several works and transformations over time. It currently corresponds to a revivalist building, housing a department of the Municipality of Figueira da Foz.
Traditionally, the Arraial de S. Martinho is celebrated annually in November, in which there is a parade with motor carts, donkeys and oxen, decorated according to the taste of each place in the parish. At the end there is the sale of the products that each car carried, in a popular and noisy auction. The profits obtained revert to the church and its charitable works.
This parish is currently being requalified, being enhanced, in addition to the buildings and remarkable heritage, the infrastructures, the equipment for collective use and the surrounding green spaces.
