The house was built in 1889 by Mr. Possidnio de Castro, a monarchist who accompanied King D. Carlos' carriage on horseback. It later belonged to his daughter, married to Dr. Eduardo Leito, Portuguese ambassador to Belgium for many years.The chalet has all the characteristics of noble houses of the time: high ceilings, plaster ceilings with moldings and wainscoting, a hipped roof and wooden plank floors. Outside, all windows and doors are new, in wood with double glazing, maintaining the original cut stonework.The building has four floors, the first being the social area, with a large lounge with two doors with direct access to the garden, library and dining room.
