Joo, in the parish of Cumieira, being equally rich in its natural mountain beauty.Close to Penela is the village of Rabaal, with its remarkable Villa Romana dating back to the 4th century AD, and its beautiful valley, where a famous herb comes from: the herb of Santa Maria, which is said to be the enigma for the excellent flavor of its Cheese, made from a mixture of sheep and goat milk.
