It is one of the most popular beaches in this area, attracting tourists, water sports practitioners and sport fishermen.

Porto Covo has Praia Grande, one of the most sought after by locals and tourists. Situated next to the north exit of Porto Covo, at the foot of the garden. With good access, spacious and sheltered by the cliff, it is one of the most popular during the summer.
It also holds blue flag and is a much sought after by surfers.

Among other beaches in the region are also the Beach of Espingardeiro, Praia Pequena, Praia dos Buizinhos and The Bay of Porto Covo, these smaller but also quite sui generis.
