The north-west coast is wetter than the south of Madeira but also greener all year round.  There are two ocean viewpoints within easy walking distance, and access to the levada walk (taking you to Ponta do Pargo and Prazeres) within ten minutes.  The house faces the ocean (northwest facing) and has extensive views.  Sunsets are a particular feature and are truly memorable.
