Pinhel is a charming Portuguese city located in the district of Guarda, in the province of Beira Alta. It is located in the Centro region (Beiras Region) and sub-region of Beiras and Serra da Estrela. 

The city is known as Cidade Falcão and the municipality has a population of approximately 10,000 inhabitants.
