History:
The parish of Cabril was Bishopric of Guarda until 4 September 1882, when it became part of the Bishopric of Coimbra.
To the parish of Cabril belong the places of Algar, Armadouro, Cabril, Foz do Ribeiro, Lomba da Senhora, Malho, Porto de Égua, Praçais, Sanguessuga, Silva, Sobralinho, Vale Derradeiro, Vale Mosqueiro and Vale Grande.
Its economy was based for many years on the production of chestnuts and some corn, grown on the land next to the banks of the Unhais river that crosses this parish.

Natural and Cultural Heritage:
Parish Church - Of recent construction, it houses the image of S. Domingos, from an old chapel, dating from the 17th century. XVI - XVII.

Stone Tower of the Old Parish Church - At the top of the village stands the bell tower, in schist stone, of the old parish church.
