Land, 12, 350 sqm, for the construction of a 4, 940 sqm gated community, in Vila Ch, in Barreiro. In 2012, a project was approved for the land for the construction of a gated community totalling 4, 940 sqm above ground and 1, 160.2 sqm below ground for parking. The project included 30 residential units and a shop, as well as a communal garden, a communal swimming pool and underground parking for 59 cars. Currently, the area's PDM (Municipal Master Plan) has a maximum index of 0.4 with the possibility of being upgraded to 0.5.The city of Barreiro is known for its industrial past, since the Discoveries, for sports and its proximity to Lisbon. With an area of 36 km2 and 78, 362 inhabitants, the municipality of Barreiro belongs to the Lisbon Metropolitan Area and is located on the south bank of the River Tagus Estuary. The city has a strategic position since it is bathed by the River Tagus and supported by an important road-railway-river terminal. It is located about 20 km from Lisbon by road or 15 minutes by river transport. This proximity to Lisbon attracts many families due to economic factors and the quality of life that the city provides in terms of culture, sports, leisure, and restaurants.
