Imagine a stunning and welcoming house, restored from an old winery, where the original features have been preserved, creating a balance between the rustic and the contemporary. Two contrasting buildings, one old and rustic, the other contemporary and independent, divided by an extremely pleasant intimate courtyard. Exterior One building maintains the original faade of the old winery, carefully restored, with doors and windows framed by the old and original stone. The roof is made of original clay tiles, which give it an authentic charm.The other is a modern building with large windows letting in natural light, with stunning views of the surrounding vineyards. Interior The interior reveals the soul of the old winery. Walls and ceilings : The walls, despite being all new to give the necessary comfort, have an authentic look but well finished. The high ceiling preserves the original wooden beams, now revitalized, creating a sense of spaciousness and rustic elegance. Historical elements : One of the most striking points is the maintenance of the old barrels to give the room a unique highlight and framing, now transformed. The kitchen was brilliantly incorporated into the old mill where all the furniture was executed manually to have an emphasis on refinement and functionality. The press was maintained and recovered and is the highlight of the kitchen. The lighting was also meticulously created by the builder with exposed copper tubes but also many indirect light points.The original vats of the mill have been retained and now adapted as niches or display areas. Flooring : The floor combines wood and microcement in contrast but gives the desired comfort. Layout The former main cellar room has been converted into an open living space, which combines a living room, kitchen and dining room.- A large fireplace with wood burning stove brings the rustic comfort of the fire on winter nights and simultaneously a highlight and embellishment of the main room. Behind the old barrels a small service toilet and laundry room were created. Rooms and toilets The 2 bedrooms on the upper floor have been adapted to take advantage of the structure of the old winery. One of the bedrooms has a glass wall and a balcony that looks out onto the courtyard between the two buildings. - Each room has a private bathroom and combines modern materials but well framed in the rustic style of the house. Outdoor Spaces The courtyard that connects the two buildings retains an old well, the heated pool and a shed with BBQ, but the centerpiece of decoration is an old orange tree surrounded by a natural stone floor.
