The house has a south-facing exposure, with a greater focus on the view of the sea that appears on the horizon. The ground floor is developed in an East-West direction, in order to maximize sun exposure. The floor is based on a concrete base, which is located over the basement, garage and swimming pool and is suspended in relation to the ground.The swimming pool is located at the entrance to the atrium and physically separates the social area and the private area of the house. To the right of the atrium are the living room, dining room and kitchen in open space concepts. To the left of the atrium is the social sanitary installation as well as the entire private area of the rooms. It is through a longitudinal corridor that distribution is made to the bedrooms and vertical access to the garage and laundry room on floor -1. Commerce and construction companies predominate, with the tertiary sector being pre-eminent in the municipality, taking into account that 50% of the active population, mostly in professions linked to commerce.With regard to Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry and Fishing, in 2011, there were 197 companies in these sectors that employed around 473 people, which corresponds to an employment of around 17.6% of the active population.In the Hotel and Restaurant sector, in 2011 Lagoa had 77 accommodation, restaurant and similar companies.In terms of Health, the municipality of Lagoa houses a Health Unit in the parish of Rosrio and a Health Post in gua de Pau.In terms of Education, there are 3 educational establishments in the municipality:- The Escola Bsica e Integrada de Lagoa, which teaches the 2nd cycle and is made up of seven 1st cycle schools;- The Basic and Integrated School of gua de Pau;- Lagoa Secondary School.Weighted on demographic, historical, cultural and economic growth criteria, on March 22, 2012, by decision of the Government of the Azores, Lagoa was elevated to city status.
