Rustic land suitable for farming. Access is via a dirt road and it is located about 40m from the N125 national road and 1.5km from Raposeira. The parish of Raposeira was abolished in 2013 as part of a national administrative reform and was added to the parish of Vila do Bispo to form a new parish called Vila do Bispo and Raposeira Also very close by is the Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The building was dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, whose cult began in Spain in the 13th century, but only spread to Portugal after the Battle of Salado in 1340, and several shrines were built in honour of her in Portugal. The legend of Our Lady of Guadalupe is associated with navigators and sailors, and with fighting Muslims and rescuing captured Christians, which could explain the installation of a shrine in her honour in the Western Algarve, an extreme part of the country that was often plagued by Islamic pirates.
