Herdade do Mirante located next to the village of Ciborro and with direct access from the N2, has within its building article part of the wall of the Taboeira dam, the safety structure or spillway of the dam and about 9ha of the area flooded by the dam.
The dam has a total capacity of around 3 million m3 and a flooded surface of about 50ha.
The cork oak forest at Herdade do Mirante is made up of holm oaks with quality permanent pastures to feed the cattle herd.
The entire fenced area is divided into 3 parks with net fences and barbed wire, with several mangers and watering points. Mango and mango park with containment cage for cattle.

There is an old, unregistered ruin.
According to the Pdm in force, land use is mostly classified as "Forest Spaces". According to article 37 of the Pdm, the Owner-Farmer's Own Residence of an agricultural, forestry or livestock farm can be built, complying with the following requirements:
i) The applicant is a farmer, under the terms of sectoral regulations, responsible for the agricultural, forestry or livestock exploitation of the building where the dwelling is intended to be located, a fact that must be proven by the competent authorities;
ii) The minimum area of the building may not be less than 4 hectares;
iii) The maximum permitted construction area is 500 m2;
iv) The maximum number of floors allowed above the threshold level is 2;
v) The maximum height of the façade is 6.5 meters;
Article 41 of the Pdm establishes the conditions for the development of isolated tourist enterprises:
1 - The following types of isolated tourist enterprises (FTEs) are allowed:
a) Hotel establishments;
b) Tourism enterprises in rural areas;
c) Housing tourism developments;
d) Camping and Caravan Parks;
2- Buildability parameters: Article 41
a) Buildings may not exceed two storeys above ground level;
b) The maximum soil sealing index may not exceed 0.2, except in rural tourism developments, in the modalities of country houses and agro-tourism and in residential tourism enterprises;
(c) the maximum land cover index is 0.05;
d) The maximum capacity allowed, with the exception of camping and caravan parks, is 200 beds.
