Waikareao is a renowned sheep, beef and deer breeding and finishing Station situated in the Wanstead district 25 kilometres East of Waipukurau. 
The property contour consists of a small area of flat to predominantly easy rolling hill to a portion of medium hill with some steeper sidlings.
