Pine Farm 65, a maturing, well-tended forest located on Ruakaka road in the Gisborne district. The forest has a title area of 396.8 hectares and a Net Stocked Area of 307.5 hectares. With approximately 214 hectares currently registered in the ETS with a lease which generates a significant return through to harvest age in 2028/2029. Pine Farm 65 has been under an extensive silviculture regime which has resulted in an impressive forest showing large volumes of high value logs even at the current crop age of twenty. Recent inventory modelling has the forest yield at 837 t/ha, Total Recoverable Volume at age 28 with 71% of the volume being of Prune and A grade logs. The full inventory is available on request. Forest access is by legal ROW off Ruakaka road with the forest being some 63km from the Gisborne port with options for local W.E.T and Kiwi Lumber sawmills close to Gisborne itself.
