Very nearly demolished in the 1980's Courtville now has a historic place category 1 listing.

The Courtville building (in two blocks) was saved, and it now has a historic place category one listing from heritage New Zealand. With its polished timber floorboards (native kauri) original fireplace surround and leafy outlook. The apartment is a little oasis in the city. Courtville has been home to many people over the years and now a small one-bedroom apartment is on the market.

Ric Parore of LJ Hooker LTP has listed the little beauty for sale by negotiation. The agent says the location next to the high court and across from the "stately gardens" of government house meant the apartments were seen as upmarket and luxurious 100 years ago.

Ric says apartments in the building are mostly owner occupied and almost never come up for sale. In my world it's a treasure and something that I may only get to sell once or twice in a lifetime.

There is a very spacious sunny courtyard at the rear of the property and numerous cafes and restaurants around close including Britomart. All in all, a credit to tradesman who built her.
