Pakowhai Road, Pakowhai, Hawke's Bay

An outstanding horticultural block of 12.6597 hectare (31.28 acres) on Pakowhai Road at the expressway end.

Zoned Plains Production with some of Hawkes Bays top soils evident here in Class 17 Pakowhai Silt Loams and Class 6 Twyford Silt and Sandy Loams.

The block has a 100mm Artesian bore for irrigation purposes consented through until May 2026, with a strong water take.

Currently utilised for cropping, it has grown sweetcorn and tomatoes over the last two years.  More than half the tomatoes were still harvested last year after the cyclone.

The front half of the block is tile drained with natural fall on the back half.  Winter lambs are traded here currently.

This is some of Hawkes Bays best land and has been in the custodianship of a very highly regarded horticultural business, well known for their high standards across large area of cropping ground in Hawkes Bay.
