Positioned on the eastern terrace above the Clutha River in Roxburgh East, the orchard is an easy shape, with excellent access off Roxburgh East Road onto Mcelligott Road and Awikiki Road and is only 3.5km from the Roxburgh township.

With a total area of 101.57 hectares in three titles, there is approximately 68.8 hectares planted in a mix of apples, cherries, apricots, nectarines plus a small area of peaches. There is also approximately 10.6 hectares ready for new planting, plus an area of unused hill sidling has been identified for lifestyle sections (with three proposed lots).   

This fastidiously maintained orchard is exceptionally well improved with quality infrastructure. There is a large, modern packing complex, cool stores, staff quarters, RSE accommodation, workshop and pump sheds. The property has good water supply from the Teviot Irrigation Scheme that is stored in two reservoirs on the property. This water is used for irrigation and frost management. There are also two wind machines to further assist frost management.  

The orchard is a mix of older and modern planting systems, and the trees range from mid-1990's to 2022 planted. The multiple apple varieties make up the lion's share of the planted area and all of these are processed for distribution at CAJ's state-of-the-art facility in nearby Ettrick. The cherries are covered with hail netting and there are also natural shelter plantings within and to the perimeter of the property.
