The building evokes a Mayan pattern by making use of floating balconies that create a rhythm of light and shadow along the main faade. A deep understanding of the context in which the building is deployed allows us to elegantly weave the development with nature and the surrounding environment. We preserved much of the pre-existing vegetation and maintained a high percentage of permeable areas to allow for the recharge of the aquifers. It should be mentioned that before beginning construction work, a Mayan ceremony was held on the site, since, according to local beliefs, we must ask permission from Mother Earth to carry out any type of intervention. To adapt not only means to treat our planet in the best possible way, but also to become aware and be part of the local beliefs and traditions.
