Proud heritage The design of the 45-apartment development draws inspiration from the Dutch architect, Joseph van Melick, who interpreted the pirogue fishing boat and fishing village in architectural form. This is evident in the bungalows and main buildings of the hotel. Today, the architects have captured the authentic village atmosphere and proud heritage of the namesake resort in La Pirogue Residences. The development references Van Melicks vision with exuberant timber-lined, pitched forms curving elegantly as they taper to the roofs edge.
