WATSON HILL, Watson Hill, Manchester Parish

There is a place on the border of St Elizabeth and Manchester left from the gas station at Gutters coming down from Mandeville: Watson’s Hill. It is mostly a flat savannah like property nestled in the Figueroa Mountains of 16.5 acres just about 2 miles in from the small community of Buttop. An SUV ensures trouble-free access. Although it is far from the maddening crowd, it is just half an hour from Mandeville and about the same from Santa Cruz. There is much potential for this property: the constant cool breezes from Alligator Pond (which is visible in the distance) could make it an ‘Irish Town in the South’. There is potential for the development of high-end cottages to accommodate ecotourism which would take advantage of the pristine natural surroundings. There is such potential. Just imagine it.
