Historical palace for sale in the Bassa Parmense area. It was built in the late 1400s and early 1500s by the Pallavicino family. 

The structure was built on the foundations of a Roman 'castrum' barracks, partially destroyed during a battle in 1200 between families fighting for control of the rich alluvial plains.

Today, the property consists of the manor house, the wine production workshop, and warehouses. On the front of the house is the entrance with the typical Italian garden, while on the side and at the back is the vineyard.

The entire property underwent a complete conservative renovation in 2003, maintaining the splendid 16th century frescoes and terracotta floors. 

The building is distributed over 3 floors, currently without a lift, but with the possibility of installing one. The ground floor is composed of a large entrance hall which provides access to the large tavern. On the opposite side is the living room, another kitchen and the guest bathroom. 

On the first floor there is a living room, a study, a bedroom and a bathroom.
The second floor consists of two bedrooms a bathroom a large hallway area and another large multipurpose room.

The third floor is an open attic space with a minimum height of 1.60 m up to a maximum height of 4.05 m.
From an intuition of the current owner and his passion for the land, he created this company that produces 10,000 bottles a year.

The winery, located on the banks of the Po River, was founded as a start-up in the autumn of 2003. The first planting, in the sandy river soil around a 16th century palace, took place the following spring. 

The Bassa Parmense is known as 'Food Valley'. Its traditions are ancient, its gastronomic world renowned, its restaurants frequented by customers from all over the world.

For decades, the appeal of the city of Parma has been the basis of tourism in the Parma area, and the attraction of the plain because of the great opera composer Giuseppe Verdi.

In recent years, the long-forgotten area along the Po River, in particular the area around Zibello, has been discovered. That is, its food was discovered, including Culatello di Zibello, the most sought-after and expensive of all hams in the world.

This gastronomic tradition has resulted in the area around Zibello having the second highest tourist growth, in percentage terms, in the whole of Italy. 

Its restaurants, trattorias, speciality food shops and Parmigiano cheese producers are visited by tourists from all over the world.
