At about 40 kilometers from Turin, in the municipality of Villafranca Piemonte, halfway between the towns of Pinerolo and Saluzzo (about 20 kms), with a view of the majestic peak of the Monviso, we are glad to offer for sale a truly unique property consisting of an ancient, structurally well-preserved Capuchin convent.
The convents building surrounds two cloisters, each of about 400 square meters and comprises a park of about 1300 square meters enclosed by a wall. 
Historic sources mention the establishment of a convent at the location as early as the first half of the 1600s, but it has been given its current shape, without considering some more recent renovations, in the second half of the 1800s. 
Located in the center of the village, the convent is a perfect embodiment of a monastic building with spaces dedicated to spirituality and religious rites. 
The ground floor features the classic open galleries that surround a cloister, kitchens, a dining room, store rooms and stables and multiple cells of the friars on the first floor.
On the first floor a distinctive library with many of its volumes still extant.
More recently the convent has undergone some renovations consisting in the addition of utilities and toilets to make it suitable as a shelter for disadvantaged youth. 
At present, the structurally sound property is in need of a comprehensive renovation. The substantial size of the property (about 2700 square meters of floorspace) makes it suitable for a variety of possible uses and for a gradual, step-by-step renovation.
