Strolling in Salizada San Lio, a street full of bars and shops, we arrive in front of "Calle del Volto," which owes its name to the arch that connects the houses between the two calli. Walking along it, we find ourselves in front of a private bridge, beyond which we catch a glimpse of the private courtyard of the building that houses our property. In fact, having crossed the canal, we meet the entrance to the condominium stairs leading to the apartment, located on the 1st floor. Once inside, we enter the large entrance hall/living room, equipped with two beautiful windows, one of which has a small balcony, which give light to the room and provide a very pleasant view of the quiet canal below. Proceeding through the area used as a dining room, towards the left we then find the separate kitchen. The two bedrooms, reached from the living room, on the other hand, overlook the inner courtyard, made iconic by a characteristic "vera da pozzo." The master bedroom also has a comfortable en-suite bathroom, while the second bathroom is near the entrance. From the apartment, which has been finely restored, we can enjoy a beautiful view of the entire canal, immersed in the quiet but within walking distance of the "salizada." This is an elegant solution in the historic center of Venice, spacious and full of light, enhanced by the absolutely strategic location.<br /><br />The Castello district, the largest and among the oldest in Venice, is located at the eastern end of the city. Always one of the most densely populated districts of the city, it has maintained the traditional 'Venetian way of life' intact. Among the numerous monuments and works of art, we cannot fail to mention the Arsenale, for centuries the cradle of the power of the Serenissima, the Basilica of Saints John and Paul, one of the most beloved by Venetians, of S. Francesco in Vigna, of S. Maria Formosa.<br /><br />The property is a few steps away from Campo Santa Maria Formosa and Campo San Lio, a beautiful central residential area of Venice. It is also very convenient to reach Piazza San Marco or the main means of transport such as train and vaporetto.
