Lord William Waldorf Astor, one of the wealthiest men of his time, purchased the villa in 1905 and transformed it into a passion project. He enlarged the territory, designed a splendid garden where a Dominican monastery once stood, and added a Pompeiian villa decorated with Ionic columns and neo-classical frescoes by a Roman artist, Mario Spinetti.The villa's exquisite interiors are filled with a museum-worthy collection of Greek and Roman antiques. The lush gardens are home to antique artifacts such as columns, statues, fountains, urns, pottery shards, fragments of sarcophagi, and more. Many of these objects were originally excavated from Pompeii, adding an extra layer of historical significance to your event.The villa offers a variety of rental setups to cater to your specific needs. Our maximum event capacity is up to 200 guests, ensuring that no matter the size of your gathering, we can accommodate. For those looking to extend their stay, we offer accommodation in our six suites in the main villa. Each suite is double, providing ample space for up to 12 guests. Please note that the availability of the suites is subject to the rental setup chosen.Enjoy the legendary 270-degree views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius through the bedroom windows or from a spacious terrace while savoring a fabulous meal prepared by a private chef. Take a stroll through the immense 20, 000m2 botanical garden that boasts the finest botanical collection of over 1000 species of plants and is considered to be one of the finest in whole Europe. Swim inside the natural grotto carved into the cliff or plunge directly into the sea. Take a boat ride from a private pontile and head to Capri or Ischia. For cultural exploring, visit Naples, Pompeii and Herculaneum or take a walk through local towns.Our rental conditions are flexible, ranging from a 1-day event rental without accommodation to a 3-day/two-night rental with accommodation. In the low season, which spans from November to early April, we offer small rental setups. These are particularly suited for commercial shoots and pre-wedding shoots. We also offer options for elopements without accommodation, as well as elopement packages with accommodation for couples who wish to extend their special day.Please note that all prices are in Euro, including VAT. The prices for event rental include only the rental fee.
