The buildings

The two stone houses have been rebuilt to ensure structural stability and a logical modern lay-out. Their stone outside as well as their authentic shape and materials are very charming and take you back in time instantly. One of the buildings offers common spaces to be enjoyed by the guests of the 6 apartments. The breakfast room, lounge area with fireplace and kitchen are all welcoming and homey.

The apartments all have a different lay-out which, if one desires to do so, can be changed and adjusted by quite minor interventions. Three of them have a fireplace, the style is rustic and simple and similar througout the buildings. It really lends itself for even a simple make-over with contemporary furniture to enhance the atmosphere.

The land

The property is set within the bounderies of the Monte Peglia Unesco World Biosphere Reserve  where unspoilt, nature rules All together the land covers a whopping 64 ha and consists of olive groves, beautiful woodland with oak and lecce trees as well as areable land. There is even a modest lake attracting lots of wildlife.
Around the buildings the land is mainly flat with the pool situated behind the houses at the highest point. The 360 degrees view is wide and open and the salt water pool (6 x 17) is nicely out of sight during the winter season. There are plenty of possibilities to develop the land with for example a boules court and lots of hiking trails.
The surroundings

The nearest little town is Tavernelle, about 16 km away and offers all amenities for daily life. Scenic Lago Trasimeno lies 29 km to the north and is a great place for watersports, biking and exploring. The little cities around the lake like Castiglione del Lago and Passignano are quaint and in the summer time big tourist destinations. Perugia, Umbria's capital and an exciting mix between ancient history and a lively student city lies at 35 km distance. Many other interesting and pretty sites and cities are within easy reach and perfect day trip destinations. Situated between Rome and Siena the treasures of central Italy, Umbria and Tiscany are closeby. Assisi but for example also Cortona and Montepulciano in Tuscany are well worth a visit. The nearest international airport is Perugia at 47 km distance, followed by Siena and Rome.
