Here we are in Naro, the "Fulgentissima" as Federico Ii liked to call it, capital of Italian culture 2025. We are in the province of Agrigento, a few kilometers from the valley of the temples and the splendid Sicilian sea. Palazzo Morillo is located here, a baroque building from the 18th century, between the main Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Via Specchi and Via Riolo. What we are about to visit today is the main floor of an ancient residence, a splendid expression of eighteenth-century baroque as well as one of the main and elegant buildings in the city.
The entrance takes place from via Riolo through a carved wooden door. An imposing marble staircase enriched with arches and columns leads us to the floor composed of eight large rooms, kitchen and services while the external facade is enriched by 7 balconies with stone bases with refined moldings, friezes and decorations.
Internal stairs take us to the upper floor where we find a further service and the splendid terrace from which to admire the picturesque historic center and the sea.
This historic residence is spread over an area of over 400 square meters and going from one room to another is a unique experience in which you can admire the refined ceramics which in each room compose a different and characteristic design or optical effect under your feet , while your gaze will be lost in the high frescoed ceilings. You will be able to breathe in a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere and relive the emotions of the past.
Stucco, plaster and baroque finishes follow one another from one room to another, just as the light will seem to chase you, thanks to the excellent exposure on three sides, in addition to the large windows which guarantee warm and enveloping natural light all day long.
The property is free, divisible and needs to be renovated, except for the roof which has been totally replaced recently.
