This splendid historical residence, originating in the 17th century, is located at the edge of a small medieval hamlet, in a panoramic and commanding position overlooking the rolling Umbrian hills and the Tiber valley, just 18 km from Orvieto.

The well-preserved palace, originally built in the mid-1600s has survived to the present day in its original state, after passing from one noble Umbrian family to another and after careful restoration by the most skilled hands of the various eras. The current owners have taken this heritage and transformed the palazzo into a contemporary residential residence. Despite its history and impressive living space, the palazzo conveys a comfortable and homey living environment.

The fenced property consists of the main palazzo, the former farm buildings, which have been turned into an impressive museum where you can admire the original use of the rooms and the individual crafts, and whose rooms can be used for a variety of purposes, a former custodian's house that can be used for additional living areas, and a large garage. 

The palazzo is surrounded by a private park (approx. 2.000 m²), an adjacent fenced garden/orchard, which can be used as a parking lot, and approx. 3 ha of land with mainly woods. 

Through the park you reach the main entrance of the palace, an impressive entrance portal through which, in its time, horse-drawn carriages drove directly into the building into a large entrance hall with a water cistern below. From the entrance hall you can also reach the basement rooms of the palace and the former servants' quarters. These evocative rooms are the ideal setting for a wellness center with an indoor pool or for entertaining receptions with style. From the entrance hall, a Bernini-style staircase leads to the upper floors. 

The first floor or piano Nobile, opens onto a central, spacious reception room, lavishly decorated, with a huge stone fireplace, silk-lined walls and frescoed vaulted ceiling. From here several other rooms can be reached: various lounges, a dining room with vaulted ceilings, fireplace and access to a large terrace, a breakfast room, a kitchen, a library with coffered ceiling and fireplace, 2 bedrooms with dressing rooms and en-suite bathrooms. The whole floor is characterised by sophistication and elegance in every single detail, from the coffered ceilings, the frescoes, the marble and terracotta floors to the silk wallpaper and precious frescoes by the famous artist Andrea Galeotti from 1853. On the second floor are 4 bedrooms (suites) some with fireplaces and bathrooms, perfectly in line with the elegance and style of the rest of the palazzo.

Even if the palazzo is listed, a swimming pool can be built in the park (!) and the former greenhouses can be converted into a pool house if needed. What remains impressive is the fact that the palazzo can be used both as a private residence and as an activity (hotel, restaurant, Spa, or similar).

The nearby town can be reached on foot and offers a good infrastructure. Orvieto is only a few minutes drive away and as one of the most popular cities in Umbria an additional asset. Rome can be reached in just 1 hour and thus conveys a good connection of the property to an international airport.
