Historical buildings from the end of the 16th century located within the castle walls of Montecarotto in the province of Ancona, in the heart of the Marche region.

The town has an almost thousand-year history, enjoys a cool climate in summer and mild in winter and the landscape is purely hilly. The historic center is full of initiatives with the famous "Verdicchio" wine festival and many other artistic and cultural events.

The property requires structural restoration to bring it back to its original beauty and is made up of 5 apartments with a single entrance however only one of these is currently habitable. It is not bound by the restrictions of the Superintendence of Fine Arts.

Inside the noble palace with a panoramic view of the Sibillini Mountains, we find beautiful frescoed ceilings in an excellent state of conservation created by the Parma painter Barilli, author of the pictorial decorations of the Montecarotto theater and the Palazzo delle Finanza in Rome.

The interior is embellished with beautiful original antique terracotta and grit floors, authentic doors and windows, and a magnificent triumphal access staircase. All preserved and maintained over time.

The ground floor was dedicated to the servants with less embellished but still very charming rooms with decorated terrazzo floors and vaulted ceilings.

The first floor represents the noble space where the great lords of the time spent their days. Large and bright rooms with painted ceilings. A long hall dedicated to "gala" evenings, illuminated by 3 large windows.

In the basement there are the old cellars for preserving food and storing ancient objects, and an enchanting cave dug into the tuff with a natural water well.

The palace belonged to a well-known noble family originally from Montecarotto. The family is registered in the "Golden Book of Italian Nobility" and in the "Italian Official Nobility List". Furnished with late nineteenth century furniture.

Montecarotto is a municipality of around 2000 inhabitants and is one of the small castle villages of Jesi, where Verdicchio wine reigns supreme. The area is famous for the cultivation of vineyards and for its numerous excellent wine outlets.

The distance from the sea of & 8203 & 8203 Senigallia, the velvet beach, is only 35 km, while Ancona airport is 37 km away.
