The small Borgo of Castelgagliardo, an ancient Malatesta castle on the border with the Duchy of Urbino, is of great historical and cultural interest. Of the ancient fortified village only the church and the adjoining rectory remain. From Castelgagliardo you can enjoy a splendid panorama, which extends from the surrounding castles (Monte Montanaro, Serrungarina, Bargni), to the Metauro Valley, the Adriatic Sea to the coast, including Monte Conero and to the south the slopes of the Sibillini Mountains.
