This antique hamlet built in the 12th century was the first human settlement in the area of Greve in Chianti. Initially it was a fortified castle, which in centuries was transformed into a private residence. Constructed on top of a hill in front of Castello Montefioralle, it has the most breath-taking and undisturbed views of the surroundings. 
In the beginning of this century the property was restored and partially rebuilt by the present owner, who tried to maintain as much as possible the original structure. Wherever possible, old stone walls were left untouched. Parts, which required reconstruction, were made with stones from the fortress. Some of the original floors were maintained. The original atmosphere of the property remained very much the same as it was in medieval times.  
The property consists of four buildings. Three of them stand around an internal court covered with antique stone slabs. Interiors were divided into nine, self-catering apartments with one or two bedrooms, kitchens or kitchenettes and bathrooms. This part has in total 12 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms.  Each apartment has its own private external space. There are several panoramic terraces and a triple barbecue area. 
The guests share a 12x6 metres swimming pool facing Castello di Montefioralle.
The fourth building, former medieval chapel, stands a little bit further. It is an independent two-bedroom house with a private swimming pool. 
Interiors are nicely furnished with essential furniture matching the style of the property.
There are two water wells, Lpg heating system, telephone, broad band internet and electricity. Some rooms are fitted with cellar fans. 
The 25 hectares of land surround the buildings. It is mostly woods and 1 hectare of vineyard. 
There are two, unpaved access roads. The longer one  about 4 kms  is suitable for any kind of a vehicle. The shorter one directly from Greve is about 800 metres long and can be approached by 4x4 cars. Permission has been already granted by the local authorities to cover it with cement, making suitable for all cars. 
The medieval style, panoramic position and walking distance to Greve makes this property really unique.
