GAIOLE IN CHIANTI (SI): The Agricultural Estate is located in the municipality of Gaiole in Chianti, at an altitude ranging between 500 and 600 meters above sea level, with specific characteristics of the best wine production areas: excellent soil structure, particular microclimate conditions with moderate temperature variations throughout the seasons and very sensitive changes within a single day.<br /><br />The vineyard and technological choices of the estate have supported the natural inclination of the land towards high-quality productions. In this perspective, the new vineyards have been designed and implemented with extreme care after thorough analysis of the soil structure, their exposure, and microclimatic characteristics.<br /><br />The vines have been carefully cultivated to allow them to grow uniformly and without forcing production.<br /><br />Harvesting operations are always carried out manually with the intervention of specialized labor.<br /><br />The same care has been taken in the construction of the cellar and in the choice of plant equipment solutions.<br /><br />The cultivation of olive trees and the production of extra virgin olive oil is another source of pride for the estate, which offers a product of absolute excellence. This is contributed to by the high altitude of the olive groves, which allows avoiding any type of anti-parasitic treatment on the plants, and the small size of the plants themselves, which allow an average oil production of only one liter each.<br /><br />The estate produces approximately 3000 liters per year of excellent quality organic extra virgin olive oil.<br /><br />BUILDING DESCRIPTION<br /><br />Equipped cellar of approximately 690 square meters divided into wine cellar, bottle warehouse, bottling area, services, and workshop, all finely renovated with high-quality materials, featuring exposed stone facades, ceilings with wooden beams and tiles, and terracotta floors.<br /><br />Independent farmhouse of 600 square meters on two levels restored in the 1990s, without floors, plaster, or systems, in a dominant position among the vineyards.<br /><br />3 ruins for a total area of 150 square meters located in the wooded part of the estate.<br /><br />LAND SUBDIVISION<br /><br />Vineyard of approximately 8 hectares consisting mainly of Chianti Classico DOCG and other international varieties, planted in rows with trellising and spurred cordon training system, paying particular attention to fixed structures with wooden poles and metal wires.<br /><br />Olive grove of approximately 10 hectares of leccino and moraiolo varieties.<br /><br />High forest coppice of approximately 230 hectares, partly for felling, with chestnut, pine, and oak varieties.<br /><br />CELLAR AND PRODUCTION<br /><br />The characteristic of the wines produced has been confirmed by the excellent ratings received from major Italian wine guides and awards also received from international competitions, in addition to the domestic market.
