In 1998, the owners discovered this wonderful spot in the middle of Italy by chance. Originally they only wanted a holidays home, but soon things took on a certain dynamic of their own: Next to the house was an old vineyard with around 40 vines, from which they produced around 50 litres of fine natural red wine with the help of the neighbours. But as wine lovers with a family and circle of friends, 50 litres was simply not enough for them! So in 1999 they decided to plant a new vineyard to cover their needs. The new vineyard produced an overwhelming result: 1,200 litres of the best Rosso Piceno. Two further vineyards with Verdicchio, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon increased production. In 1999, they also bought an old farmhouse with 4 hectares of land from a neighbour who had given up farming, on which they planted around 1.2 hectares of cherry and walnut trees for timber production and a truffle plantation. In 2002, a further 1.9 hectares of adjoining land with a farmhouse were added, the ground floor of which was converted into a small wine cellar and the two upper floors into agriturismo flats with a pool, which have been rented out to tourists from all over the world since 2009. But it didn't stop there: in 2006 they bought a further 2.5 hectares of neighbouring land, on which the large vineyard was planted in 2007 the estate had now grown to 12 hectares and the wine cellar had become too small. A new underground wine cellar (330 m²) was therefore built in 2010 and inaugurated in 2011. The intensive contact with nature and agriculture triggered a return to a more sustainable way of life: No chemicals! No artificial fertilisers! No poison! Since then, these alternative farming methods have determined the way of working not only in the vineyard, but also in the wine cellar. In the meantime, the vineyard had become their main focus in life, a dream they had never dreamed of had come true! The entire business, including the agriturismo, farm and wine cellar, is now run by employees.
