We are in the province of Salerno and here, perched on a hill, Eboli slumbers in the summer heat, whose ancient part dominates the last stretch of the Sele valley and the city extends at its feet. On the upper part, stands the imposing castle restored to a design by Vanvitelli, and the Capuchin church has also been erected in a magnificent position. All around is the plain of Eboli, a variously cultivated set of cereals, vegetables, vineyards, olive groves and orchards. We walk along the picturesque Via Paradiso, a little-frequented road that gives access to a few exclusive properties and from which you can already enjoy the fantastic view as far as the eye can see of the city and the surrounding plain. Our visit, leaving the car in the large parking lot, begins with an aperitif on the first and large terrace in front of the entrance porch. Before entering the villa, we let our gaze wander from the Alburnine peaks and then descend to the coast of Punta Licosa, up to the island of Capri. Accustomed to the north in the mountains, these views enchant me, feeling the light breeze that comes from the sea to here, the warmth of the sun that embraces me makes me want to spend the rest of my short stay here. But I promised you a visit and so let's get up and start from this first room, a large and imposing atrium with floors and finishes in elegant marble, Venetian stuccoes and crystal chandeliers that immediately give the idea of the elegance of the property. On the right we find the kitchen, it is always my favorite meeting place and this, with its interesting size, the beautiful fireplace and the exit to the terrace in front has all the characteristics to become the main meeting and discussion center of the family. Also overlooking the atrium is the study, located on the ground floor, which can be useful for those who can never take a break from work, but if necessary transformed into a guest room or a reading room and for hobbies. Next to it we find the first of the three large house bathrooms, with window and shower. Going up the splendid marble staircase, illuminated by a series of oval windows, we reach the balcony where weapons and armor and antique objects are neatly placed that give an almost medieval touch, at the end of which we find the master bedroom with en suite bathroom. Beautiful and curious is the choice of the erker, a typical element of Nordic architecture, from which to admire the incomparable panorama, the same that we can enjoy even better from the large terrace accessible from a small living room located next to the room. Currently, for family needs, the first floor has been divided into two and to visit the remaining part we can access it from the two terraces/side gardens that follow the natural course of the land where the presence of citrus groves is constant. They then continue to admire the spaces and elegance of a large living room set up with an Italian billiards, the third bathroom, the two bedrooms, one twin and one double, where we find the original erker and finally a large room set up with a kitchenette and oven for bread and pizza, inevitable in the homeland of buffalo mozzarella. What more can I say, the spaces, the finishes, the furnishings everything has its own order and elegance of yesteryear, bring your personal belongings and come and live in your personal corner of Paradise.
