Villa "La Chimera" is located in Castiglione della Pescaia above the Castle and is perfectly inserted in the Maremma landscape with a splendid view of the lagoon and the pine forest, Vvf natural park, Lake Aprile, the gulf of Marina di Grosseto and Vetulonia and the Etruscan hills including the Etruscan city of Vetulonia. The Villa was built on an architectural project by Arch. Angelo Giabbai of the University of Pisa. The architecture of the Villa, which takes its name from the Chimera of Arezzo, carved in wrought iron on the entrance gate and in bronze in three specimens inserted in the stone wall of the access avenue, is unique in the area, neoclassical completely covered with pink quartzite from the Nebrodi Mountains and access avenues built with the same stone that refer to the Roman style and is embellished with Fratantoni ceramics from Santo Stefano di Camastra. The entrance gate and the grates of all the doors and windows were made of wrought iron by a craftsman from Milazzo. The Villa, single-family, was completed in 2023 acquiring the habitability, it is up to standard with the cenergetic and seismic part, it uses only electricity, the surface is one hundred and thirty square meters divided into three floors with a solar paving area of 70 square meters and a terrace on the first floor of 50 square meters. The surface of the plot of land is 1400 square meters. From the entrance avenue through an artistic wrought iron gate, preceded by an equally artistic bollard, passing on a stone-paved avenue skirting a rock garden and stone walls enriched by three bronze sculptures of the Etruscan chimera, you arrive on the ground floor where there is an apartment of 43 square meters, consisting of a living room / kitchen and an "open space" double bedroom, an elegant bathroom with shower covered with ceramic pieces, the Sassi di Assisi, outside there is a panoramic paved area of 20 square meters, and a technical room of 12 square meters and a comfortable panoramic shower. From the ground floor you can access the first floor via a stone path immersed in the garden enriched with myrtles and lush plants and you arrive at a terrace of 50 square meters with an imposing barbecue set in shelves, shelves and sink carved completely in quartzite and one with a covered loggia of 11 square meters where you can have lunch with a spectacular view of Dacia Botrona, of the pine forest and the gulf. The oak entrance door, framed by stone frames and capitals, overlooks an apartment of 80 square meters consisting of a living room with 5 windows in neoclassical style, made with the same methods as the door, from which you can enjoy the panorama of the Etruscan hills, followed by two double bedrooms, an elegant bathroom with shower, a panoramic living room, kitchen and an impressive outdoor barbecue. From the first floor you go up to the roof of the Villa, solarium, of about 70 square meters paved in Tuscan terracotta and stone and surrounded by safety railings. You enjoy fantastic views of the lagoon, sea, lush hills and absolute privacy. The Solarium is equipped with a mini-suite of 9.mq with bathroom with shower. From the Solarium via a wrought iron walkway and stone stairs you go up to the Mediterranean forest of 400 square meters enriched with olive trees, rosemary and strawberry trees and wonderful panoramic views. All the doors and windows are surrounded by columns, capitals and keys handcrafted in Mistretta (Sicily) from where all the pink quartzite stone with which the Villa was covered comes. The Villa, a unique example of its kind and in the area, lends itself to organizing parties in complete privacy and is equipped with a spectacular but discreet night lighting system.
