On the ruins of an ancient convent, built around 1600 by the order of Olivetan Monks, a luxury resort was built in 2019. Inside the main nucleus, on an area of about 890 square meters, there are 15 rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, and a restaurant with two large halls. The old church now houses a common room, available for guests to spend moments of leisure. Near the original nucleus there is a second farmhouse of about 470 square meters, more recently built. Inside there is a Spa equipped with every comfort as well as a panoramic indoor swimming pool that can be used all year round. The land covers an area of 11.5 ha with arable land, olive groves and over 1 ha of vineyard. Downstream from the former convent, through a beautiful avenue bordered by hedges, there is a large swimming pool measuring 8 x 16 m. Not far from the pool is a 40 sq m tree house which houses an additional suite.The ancient convent is located in the vicinity of Castiglione del Lago and a stone's throw from Tuscany: Siena, Cortona and Montepulciano are easily accessible, as is the Umbrian side with Perugia and Orvieto, both about 35 minutes away by car. Nearby we find famous thermal spas. Castiglione del Lago and Chiusi - Chianciano Terme stations are just minutes away, as is the entrance to the A1 highway, making connections to Rome and Florence very easy.
