Splendid and ancient village of about 5700 square meters in total with an ancient abbey to be restored and 54 hectares of land lying on the hills overlooking the entire Mugello valley. 
Description 
Rich in history and charm, the main body for a total of 3200 square meters consists of the important Medici Abbey of 3206 square meters rich in history, art and charm where there is the ancient church of 571 square meters, the monks' quarters as well as the rooms for monastic practices and daily life and the remains of the ancient cloisters supported by splendid fifteenth-century columns and capitals. There are still ancient barrels and tools used by the monks for the production and storage of wine and oil. Adjacent are the various annexes for a total of 2500 square meters and there is also a historic and suggestive underground passage that connects the abbey with one of the annexes. The Abbey dates back to the year 1084, built by Count Hugh of Tuscany, who lost himself in those woods, would have vowed to erect it if he had survived. Belonging to the Medici family for many centuries and generations, at the beginning of the 1700s the monastery was completely restored by Grand Duke Cosimo III, who entrusted it to a community of Trappists, and in Buonsollazzo or "Buonsolatio" the first "Trappist" in Italy was founded, to reach the last times, when the Camaldolese established a college in the Abbey, in which several generations of monks received their first training. The name "Buonsollazzo" derives from the Latin bonum solacium or "Buonsolatio" which expresses good exposure to the sun.

The complex is immersed in its private land of 54 hectares of woodland and arable land and enjoys a beautiful view of the Mugello valley. 
State and finishes 
Most of the property is made with traditional materials and finishes such as brick and stone, generally terracotta floors and wooden window frames. The monastery needs careful restoration and conservative renovation work and the other parts alternate with the need for functional adaptation works and renovations or building renovation works. 
Potential uses 
The enchanting property lends itself very well, through an important and careful restoration, both to a sumptuous private residence and to an imposing and suggestive luxury accommodation facility. Given the possibility of obtaining community funding, given the peculiarity of the complex, given the pre-existence of a tourist-hunting activity even if amateur, given the probability of expanding this activity by merging the neighboring lands, a club-house could be built in the Church and Monastery with accommodation, in the annexes other and numerous accommodations, a restaurant and a hunting house.
