Acqualoreto is a quaint and very authentic little borgo perched on the hills high above the Tiber Valley. The municipality is Baschi thought the geographical location is much closer to the famous little hilltop town of Todi. It is a well kept medieval hamlet and still harbours plenty of year round inhabitants whereas during the summer time the village can even be called lively. The property for sale is situated in an alley just off the small road encircling Acqualoreto's old core, which features various view points and sitting areas. The house itself is not only nice, it offers quite a few important advantages as well! Let's check out the key features: Convenient location within the hamlet Fully renovated, no work needed Various balconies Bright and spacious rooms Rental potential The house From the wooden front door one enters directly in the cosy living room with fireplace and the adjacent kitchen. The first floor features a large bedroom with ensuite bathroom, both with a cute French balcony. Just off the landing is a separate half/guest bathroom. The second floor features another large and luminous bedroom. A second door provides access to a balcony along the back and side of the home and overlooking the alley and rooftops. For a buyer who would desire only one bedroom it could certainly be an interesting idea to convert the ground floor into a nice dining area and the first floor bedroom into a very comfortable living room. The cantina Just around the corner from the house, and with another property in between, lies the separate yet very convenient "cantina" that comes with the property. It is a very useful storage space and/or workshop as the house does not offer those possibilities. It might be possible to convert this room into for example a studio apartment. The area The property is located in the triangle formed by the famous cities of Amelia, the oldest city of Umbria (30 km), Todi (14 km) and Orvieto (24 km) of course known for its stunning cathedral. The area is especially known for its authenticity and unspoilt nature as well as the stunning panoramic views. At the village square are a small bar and a little restaurant. Every Wednesday most foreigners from the area gather for an aperitivo and to exchange stories and it is an easy way to mix with the locals. Two other nearby villages offer grocery shops, a post office, bar, hairdressers and even a small spa. Some years ago a new initiative was started in the area, the Camino dei Borghi Silenti. A hiking itinerary that brings visitors from all over Italy and abroad to explore and enjoy the beautiful area. With them came the need for places to spend the night and by now there is quite lot of interest in (air)bnb properties, also in Acqualoreto. Owners can request a listing with the organiser of the event and very easily find clients to rent their properties to. Please let us know if you need additional information of like to plan a visit, we will gladly assist you in any way we can. Sincerely, Caroline & Stefano, Real Estate
