Here is also the rear door of the house with a small patio connecting to another village lane.<br />Further down (through a hatch door) is the basement room, this is currently used as a storage room but could also become a second bedroom or office.<br /><br />The house has air conditioning upstairs and a solar panel for hot water.<br />There is easy parking near the property.<br /><br />Only few steps  from the property there are dozens of pretty village shops, many nice cafes and a few taverns offering delicious local dishes most of which stay open all through the year.<br />Also in the village and within close proximity to the house are a pharmacy, post office, doctor’s office and a few small super markets.<br /><br />Kritsa is the largest village in the area of Agios Nikolaos, Crete.<br />It is only 7 kilometers from the town and to several sandy beaches.<br />A reliable and frequent bus service connects Kritsa to Agios Nikolaos, Heraklion (island capital and main port and airport) and to all other majour towns and villages on the island.<br /><br />Agios Nikolaos is the capital of the county Lasithi and is located at the Mirabello Bay, north-east Crete, only 40 mins away from the international airport of Heraklion.<br />Although Agios Nikolaos has a population of less than 20,000 it has several banks, supermarkets, shops of every kind, doctors, a modern hospital of high standard, public swimming pool and tennis courts, yacht marina, harbour, cinema, theatre, gyms, a 9-hole golf course, schools ranging from nurseries to 6-level high school and generally all the amenities you would expect to find in a modern European town.<br /><br />
