This castle is located 1 km from the village located in the Deux-Sèvres on the border of Touraine and Anjou. Thouars is 8 km from the accommodation, while Saumur is 30 km away. This northern sector of the Deux-Sèvres, known as the Thouarsais, was a historical crossroads with the Hundred Years' War and the Wars of Religion. Originally, it was a Gallic people called the Picts who inhabited this land. This classic Renaissance castle was built in the 17th century around 1640 by a family of farmers-general, lawyers from Vendôme. During the revolution of 1789, the castle suffered some damage. In the 19th century, the castle was enlarged to meet the tastes of the time. From the main courtyard, the symmetrical façade in large limestone framed by two wings of the outbuildings. This 17th century castle steeped in history in a dominant position offers: the castle with an entrance with sculpted stairwell ramp on railing with central core, baluster, a reception room with French ceiling opening onto a terraced garden and fireplace, a dining room with woodwork, a small living room, a bedroom with its bathroom on the ground floor,  Upstairs, 7 bedrooms with their toilets.
