It has traditionally provided excellent skiing for the more experienced skier, including some fabulous off-piste areas, but it has now also developed more facilities for the less experienced  including a marvellous nursery slope for beginners.  Other than winter sports, the village has some historic buildings to visit and the surrounding area offers everything from golf to rock climbing, not forgetting of course the breathtaking scenery. The international airports are at Lyon and Geneva  roughly 2¼ hours away, or 1½ hours away at Grenoble. Chambéry is an option during the alpine season and is just over an hour away.
